How to Get Stamped Reviews on Google Shopping

Stamped collects product reviews on your Shopify store, but it doesn't automatically deliver them to Google Shopping in the format Google requires. Review2XML bridges that gap: bring your Stamped reviews in (a CSV export or a Google Sheets link) and it builds a Google-compliant Product Ratings feed and, through Google's official Merchant API, connects it to Google Merchant Center in one click. Your first 50 reviews are free. This guide covers every step.

    Why Google Shopping stars matter

Star ratings on Google Shopping listings give shoppers a quick signal of product quality before they click. Listings with stars stand out from those without, and they appear on both paid Shopping ads and free listings. Google sources these ratings from a Product Ratings feed that you submit to Merchant Center. Your Stamped reviews are the raw material, once they're in Google's required XML format.

What you need before you start

    • An active Stamped account on your Shopify store
    • At least 50 reviews across your products (Google's minimum to show stars)
    • A Google Merchant Center account linked to your store
    • A free Review2XML account (your first 50 reviews are free)

How to export your reviews from Stamped

Stamped lets you export your reviews as a CSV directly from their dashboard. Here is exactly where to find it.

Step 1: Go to Reviews, then All Reviews, then open the Filter

Make sure you are in the Reviews product at the top left, not Loyalty. Click Reviews, then All Reviews in the left sidebar. Click the Filter button at the top and select Date Range.

Step 2: Select the longest date range and click Add Filter

Choose the longest available date range to include all your reviews, then click Add Filter.

Step 3: Click Download All Reviews

Once the filter is applied, a Download All Reviews button appears at the top of the page. Click it to download your CSV immediately.

Turn your Stamped reviews into a Google Product Ratings feed

Google Merchant Center requires reviews in a specific XML format called the Product Ratings feed, and Review2XML builds it for you. Go to review2xml.com, enter your store URL, and add your reviews by uploading your Stamped CSV or pasting a Google Sheets link. Review2XML reads the columns automatically (product identifier, rating, review body, reviewer name, review date) and maps them to Google's schema, so there's no manual mapping. Preview your product cards with their star ratings, then your first 50 reviews go live free. (One-click Stamped auto-sync via the Stamped API is on the way; for now the CSV or Sheets route takes about a minute.)

Add your feed to Google Merchant Center

Through Google's official Merchant API, Review2XML can push your feed straight into Merchant Center in one click. To add it yourself instead:

Step 1: Open Google Merchant Center

    Log in at merchants.google.com.

Step 2: Go to Product Reviews

In the left sidebar, navigate to Products & store > Reviews > Product reviews.

Step 3: Open Manage Product Review Sources

Click Manage product review sources, then Add product review source.

    Step 4: Add your feed

Choose Enter a link to your file and paste your Review2XML feed URL. Because it's a hosted URL, Google re-fetches it automatically, so you never have to re-upload.

Step 5: Wait for Google to process the feed

Your feed shows as inactive while Google reviews it. Processing typically takes a few days.

    FAQ

Does Stamped automatically send reviews to Google Merchant Center? No. Stamped doesn't push product reviews to Google in the Product Ratings XML format Google requires. You bring your Stamped reviews into Review2XML (a CSV export or a Google Sheets link), and it builds the feed and, through Google's official Merchant API, connects it to Merchant Center for you.

Do I need to apply a date filter before downloading my Stamped reviews? Yes. The Download All Reviews button only appears after you apply a date filter in Stamped. Set the longest available date range to make sure you export every review, then click Add Filter. The download button appears at the top of the page.

How many reviews do I need before stars show on Google Shopping? Google requires a minimum of 50 product reviews before it displays Product Ratings on your listings. The more reviews you have across your catalogue, the more listings show stars.

Does this work with Stamped's product reviews and seller ratings? The Google Product Ratings feed covers product-level reviews only. When you bring reviews from Stamped into Review2XML, use your product review export. Seller ratings operate through a separate Google programme and are handled differently.
